Gretsch White Falcon

gretsch white falcon 300x225 Think the Gretsch White Falcon is only for rockabilly?

Time to think again my friend! Just to point out the sonic diversity you can coax from one of these monsters, allow me to point to two players rocking the same axe, yet getting very different sounds.

Malcolm Young of AC/DC, and John Frusciante formerly of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Two killer players, one killer guitar—unlimited different sounds. That’s the kind of thing you can expect from a Gretsch White Falcon.

You can easily switch from heavy rhythms, to intricate leads and delicate runs, to jazzier tones and rockabilly style picking. This guitar is iconic for a reason—it can easily be found in just about every genre of music you can think of.

It Might Get Loud DVD

I know it sounds like I am getting on an elitist soap-box here, but it’s the truth.

It takes something really cool, really unique, and really special to catch my attention these days. I am sure the same is true for you.

That’s why when I caught the It Might Get Loud DVD recently, I was pretty much left wanting more. So much in fact, that I watched it twice more. Then I watched it again a few days later.

I don’t know how this escaped me when it was originally released in 2008, but I am glad I found it now. I want to share with you what makes it so damn awesome.
